@shearer2929 - compared to what the Russian army is capable of, what we've seen so far has been restrained action from them. No heavy bomber carpet-bombing Kyiv into submission with thermobaric weapons for example. I hope it will never get to that.

@jayc342009 - You are making the exact same mistake that Putin do. Assume the West is all talk. Some times it is, some times it is really not. If you are not Western yourself, it is hard to know what makes the difference. Putin crossed the line, and the poor Russian boys sent to fight, will now die at the hands of highly motivated Ukrainians backed by modern western weaponry.

Russian forces have no chance in hell in taking Kyiv. They might be able to burn it to the ground with many many thousands of civilian Ukrainian casualties, and even more global outrage than what is currently happening. The US invasion of Iraq cannot be compared to this in any way or form. US lost 160 people taking Iraq, a lot of them in friendly fire. Russia has lost way more people than that already.

@jayc342009 - why don't you list the countries that supported Russia's invasion in UN just now. And then list the countries supporting Ukraine. Russia has betrayed Ukraine, and the West is supporting Ukraine all the ways it can. And Ukraine will beat Russia with Western support.

@jayc342009 - because Ukrainians won't cave in. Every day that passes more and more equipment is flowing into Ukraine from the West. And it isn't junk, unlike the shit Russia has brought. Ukraine is a big country with a big population. Russia doesn't have the manpower to hold it, it might capture a small city, but that's not going to change much. Russian fighting morale is rock bottom. As news will spread into Russia and their death tolls sky-rocket, Russians will start demonstrating as well. Putin had one chance - a quick decisive victory - 2 days max. That's long gone, he f**ed up really good, and Russians will pay a heavy price unless they get rid of Putin.
