  5. Do people in Turkey even use Lira at all? Do they get paid salaries in Lira? Are houses bought in Lira? What about groceries? Are banks just exchanging Lira for foreign currency openly, or are there limits to exchange amounts?

  6.  @shouryasanjeev9284  - because the currency is getting worthless. So you exchange it as soon as you get it. No-one wants it, and no transactions are done with it. However, the Lira isn't that worthless yet, so I wondered what the deal is.
