  1. Same as in WW1. The defensive weapons were better than the offensive ones. And you get into trench warfare territory. Russia's superpower is the ability to soak damage and keep on going. They have a lot more poor people to send into the grinder, so I'd be very surprised if we see any peace here for many years.
