  2. So in the very short term, this might sound smart from a US perspective. However, US has two main export articles. Dollars and weapons. Both of them are dependent on US being the world's only superpower. If the US now turns away from that position, it will be interesting to see how the military industry in the US will be hurting bad from loss of export sales. The Dollar is even more critical to the US. Currently people in the US have been buying a lot of stuff from abroad, and just paid back with Dollars. Which costs nothing to produce for the US government, they just conjure it out of thin air all the time. If that concept starts to falter, then it can get really "interesting" really fast. We sure live in interesting times.
