  1. Hydropower and geopower are real renewables that actually work great. Unfortuntately they require very specific geography to work well. For everything else, Nuclear is the best option.

  2. That's pretty ok in southern Europe. However, if something like this goes down in Norther Europe / Scandinavia in mid-winter, then it will be very dangerous very quickly. (And if it happens, it will of course be the Swedes that fuck it up - they just cannot help themselves)
