  1. Naah, don't buy it. Uneven burn inside the rocket fuel would not change the force of the expended gas this much. The direction is controlled by the exhaust nozzle not by the burn of chemicals. Much more likely (IMO) is that it was an anti-radar missile and then for some reason locked onto the radar of the SAM site itself. Guiding itself back to the SAM's radar. Its u-turn is way to controlled to be an accident.
