  1. A fundamentally disagree with this take. There is no "gradual steps" towards socialism. First by mudling the water calling whatever socialism, and then pretending there are steps towards more or less (now undefined) socialism. Capitalism works to generate economic results. It is basically unsurpassed in this way. Unfortenately it has a drawback of eventually leading to monopolies and extreme wealth inequality. Socialism fails to produce much at all - the more you have of it, the less productive you get. So you don't get extreme wealth inequality - you get extreme poverty instead. Nordics have just put some high taxes on capitalism to make sure the worst effects of capitalism is reduced, and it has worked very well. Having class cooperation instead of war.
