  1. Living in one of the most successful Social-Democracies in the world (Norway - not a shithole country), I will agree partly with your sentiment. It works because its using Capitalism as the economic engine, but 'socialism' to mitigate some of the inherent issues with Capitalism (income distribution). Of course what works here, would never work in a lot of other countries. The homogenous population, and harsh environment (fostering a very pragmatic and honest culture) are key elements. One interesting thing is however that is seems to me like Canada and Sweden, are much harder hit by feminist SJW - than Norway and Denmark. I'm actually unsure of why this is.

  2. As a Norwegian, I always saw Canada as the American equivalent of Norway. However, Jordan has completely right when he points out that Canada has indeed hurt its image abroad (even here in Norway). And seriously - is Covid still a thing in Canada? It's officially been a non-issue here for a good half a year now - no restrictions, nothing - and it is not an issue at all (it never really was an issue either).

  7. As a Norwegian - I've always felt that Canada is our sort of American sibling. However, it seems your government has gone crazy and I'm shocked to hear what is going on over there. As Jordan mentions all of Scandinavia is now open and we've had none of these draconian messaures in place. At the worst you needed to have a mask on in some shops, but mainly just keeping a 1 or 2 meter distance was it. Truckers were always exempt from all sorts of travel and quarantine restrictions. Sounds like your government is feeding the press and the press is feeding the government in a vicious feedback loop.
