  3. Depends on what you mean by "winning"? Destroying some peaceful towns and shelling civilians Russia will manage fine. Then what? Russia already now has 40+ million angry Ukrainians to deal with, weapons and resources are poring in from the West. And as soon as the Russian soldiers leave an area, it is Ukrainian again. The West is also happy to bleed the Russian army dry using highly motivated Ukrainians to do the fighting. Russia (Putin) could end this tragedy tomorrow, but no, he has to take thousands of young Russian mens lives and thousands of Ukrainian lives as well. Putin as also managed to unite the West to a degree I didn't think was possible a month ago. Good work.

  7. Because it matters. If it was Ukrainian missiles, it means the rest of the Russian Navy is now pretty much sitting ducks if they go close to Ukraine. If it was an internal fault by the crew, it won't affect the other Russian vessels. I think it is pretty obvious which version of events are the most likely.
