  4. With your theory, then I think Svalbard is actually even more likely area. Its already in a special relationship between Norway and Russia. It is remote, and it doesn't have so much value really.

  5. Norwegian here - I'm willing to swap Svalbard for a suitable big US owned island in a warmer climate. Maybe the Greenlanders would go for a swap - as well. Move away from the frozen tundra of Greenland to some nice island somewhere else. Fun ideas :)

  7. In Russia Bakhmut is such a strategic important city, that I guess if they are right, the flood gates into the plains of Ukraine are now open, and the Russians will be rushing west at an alarming pace. For some reason, I don't think we will see this happening...

  10. Doubt it, as it isn't an invading army hell bent on extermination. And the damage these drones do are very minor. Its more like an inconvenience and reminder that the country is at war.

I guess the problem with the theory, is that if it is an isolated, fairly small and far away thing, then the commitment from NATO countries doesn't need to be more than to handle the issue at hand. So it would be just about sending some fighter jets or support personell, or maybe a brigade or two from each country.
