  2. NATO numbers are probably the most sober ones. As NATO has no direct reason to inflate either numbers.

  3.  @QualityPen  - NATO was never in Iraq. US was with some other countries, searching for WMDs that didn't exist. (Of course Saddam had used chemical weapons on thousands of Kurds earlier, and he did make severe threats to the west. But still. Anyways he's dead now, and Iraq free to fuck up again). Of course US and NATO is interested in weaking Russia and supporting Ukraine without having to put boots on the ground. It is a win-win-win scenario for US/NATO.
