  10. Very good video, but I feel it lacks the ideological, religious and cultural aspect that I think also plays a huge part here. The Afghan nation isn't a nation like we westerners think of it. It is a loosely couple group of clans that have not much in common, except maybe the hatred for foreign occupation and Islam. Taliban does however transcend these clan structures as it is based on the common gathering point of Islam. At the end of the day, stability is what is important to the major players. And if it takes a somewhat brutal Islamic dictatorship for it to work in Afghanistan, then that's probably for the best. And finally an important thing - over the last 20 years (while Americans have ruled Afghanistan) - the population has doubled! The country is basically just filled up with kids and teenagers, with very few adults. Hopefully these kids and teenagers have learned English to an extent where they can enjoy YouTube and the like. And maybe want something more than living in a dust-bin. Just like Vietnam turned out ok, Afghanistan might. I'm personally glad it is over, and that the Afghans again can rule their own land.

  11. You need to compare Sweden to its neighbors, like Denmark, Norway and Finland. Not to some shit-hole in Africa or south-America. And by those standards, Sweden is going down the drain.

  19.  @andreasnilsson4496  - the thing is that NATO defense is a more holistic view of things. Its not about each country having everything to just defend itself. Its about having resources that combined will be able to support each other. So Sweden for example would probably then have much more stuff needed for defense of the Baltics and Norway stuff for supporting defense of Sweden. I suspect the entire Nordic region would be considered one area as far as defense planning goes.
