  1. It is unclear to me what benefit people living in the different European Countries would get from this arrangement? Unless there is a massive economic boost for everyone living in Europe, it would never happen. (As a Norwegian, I'm glad we're technically outside the whole mess. Our politicians suck, but compared to what other countries have, ours are god-sent).

  2.  @gorry123  - yeah, I see a lot of downsides, and not a lot of upsides. The upsides must be massive for this to happen, so large that every (or nearly every) citizen would think this would be a slam dunk win.
