  1. Well, Norway is a country of honesty, laws, rules and regulation. If you make a deal, you stick to it - good or bad. Germany and other European countries didn't historically want long term gas delivery contracts, and preferred shorter term contracts in order to reap the benefits of cheap Russian gas. So when the price of gas rose due to the war, they had to buy at market rates as previously agreed upon. In other words, if you want long term secure deliveries to fixed prices, enter a long term contract with Norway instead. Its that easy. (And the Norwegian people are unhappy with the current government, as they are getting poorer while the government is richer than ever. Do not be surprised about news about "landslide" victory for the "far-right" in Norway in September 2025).
