@daniel-ino - Population: 5.5 million. Cheap hydro power for domestic electricity. Lowest population density in Europe. A large percentage of the population live in low density homes owned by themselves. Not exactly a representative country.

Just returned a PHEV from leasing here in Norway. And that car had held its value extremely well. And as I was looking for a new car, I talked to different car sales persons, and asked about cars retaining their value. And they all recommended against electric cars. Norway is not going to be followed by other countries that doesn't have Norway's unique approach to electric car vs. ice cars.

@johnlesoudeur3653 - some definitely do. I think this was more normal 10 years ago, than today. However, the used car market for diesel and plugin hybrids are very strong - as new such vehicles are getting taxed out of existence. So for people that cannot or doesn't want electric cars, used cars are one of the few options they have. That said, I personally would have gone with an electric car, if it wasn't for a very big depreciation on them. Especially now that China is really starting to disrupt the market.
