As a Norwegian, it is sad to see how both Sweden and UK now has to deal with this kind of stuff. It will take a lot of hard work, pain and money to fix. Best of luck to both nations, and we are watching with horror and will try to avoid your fate as best we can.

At least some adults are still left in the UK.

As a Norwegian with a Swedish family (married in), I can tell that one issue Sweden has had - is the lack of wars or conflict. Its a country that's been at peace for 200+ years. Everyone in Sweden takes Sweden for granted, and they have no nationalism. Because nobody has ever needed to fight for Sweden, or even know anyone that has had to. I'm glad I've experienced Sweden as it once was, but the country is changing now. It will get its conflict and it will get its nationalism. But the old Sweden is dead anyways, because the culture and people that made it are dying now (of old age).

@BritishLandeur you are absolutely right. Too much immigration can indeed destroy the social fabric of a country. Thankfully we are quite nationalistic (unlike the Swedes), and we don't have any questionable history that can be used by leftists to undermine our culture (as with UK/US). Now that the tides are shifting all over western Europe, I think Norway will get through it with just minor bruises.

As a Norwegian, it is just sad to see how UK has fallen over the last 30 years. Over here its like 80-90% is willing to fight for Norway. But I'm sure if we had 30 years of the same policies that UK has had, it would have decimated the numbers in Norway as well.

Funny thing, is that this is exactly the same rhetoric that you see from the Swedish labor party. Going from being super-pro immigration, getting hammered in election by a "far right" party, then turning a 180, and then claiming they have always been for strict immigration. Its uncanny how equal it is.

The European politicians needed to hear this. Especially the UK and German ones. Here in Norway the stench of wokeness has been spreading from both the US and UK for a while. We've managed to sort of hold it off, not completely, but at least contain it reasonably. Now the stench from the US is gone. Its time for UK to get rid of it too .

Norwegian here - I must say you guys are stuck with some really shitty politicians, and your electoral system isn't much to write home about either. Our politicians are pretty useless, but at least most of them try to make Norway a better place, even if they disagree on the way to go about it.

@martin-d4h you don't have a anti-immigrant mainstream party in Ireland? To make sure the leftist-do-good'ers don't get to ruin the country in a few years time?

They will rotate on the migrants

Well, time for the UK to get some of reparations from Norway due to the Viking age. Loads of money to be had there.

Well, how about just reducing the population size, then eventually housing will be affordable again, infrastructure will be sufficient, workers would be more scarce and paid more, and then population increase would happen all by itself. Seems like this "problem" is not a "problem" at all.

Interesting to see how different countries handle the same type of issues. I suspect the Irish approach has its benefits.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that. But at least it will be very good for anti-immigration policies in other countries that hasn't gone as far as England.
