  1. Any approach that just looks at the science behind getting fusion to work, is a dead end in my view. The approach should be to make a power-plant, as making fusion itself is uninteresting. Making a power-plant includes having a viable way to produce large amount of energy 24/7/365 in a cost efficient manner, without generating nuclear waste products.

  4.  @taylorlightfoot  - makes a bit more sense. Still, you need to live in a place with very high prices for electricity and loads of sun for this to be even remotely economically viable.

  5.  @taylorlightfoot  - well I live in a country with snow in the winter (when I need the most power to heat) and a very stable and (fairly) cheap power. Solar is pretty much a no-go, and if I was to run on battery on expensive days, and fill it up on inexpensive, I might maybe save 20% of the bill. It might make some economic sense if the price was 1/3 or 1/4th of the current price.

  8. If you only had 2 inches of snow instead of 15, how many m2 do you think such a snow-blower would be able to go on those batteries? (Basically, what's the run-time under lighter load)
