@siliqua4584 - thank you for your very detailed answer. I guess you are kind of an outlier then in the Russian society. If more people in Russia had been like you, this mess would probably not have happened. I'm sorry that people like you gets punished by sanctions the same way as other Russians now.

Healing is always possible. Germany isn't hated today. But how long it takes depends on the actions taken by the country and its people.

The news they get is very confusing to them, because its 80% lies. So things doesn't really make sense. Its like a dream, when dreaming it makes sense, if you then wake up and try to explain the dream, it is just a mess.

@jamesrodriguez7527 - does anyone ever mention the fact that Putin can end the war in Ukraine tomorrow if he wanted to, by just returning back to Russia propper?
1
@jamesrodriguez7527 - well, it won't stop until Russia stops it. Which Putin can do any day.

How come you are not living in the same illusion as them? Is it because you know English very well?

I'd love to hear Russians express: "What does a Russian victory in Ukraine look like?"

@daark1799 - well, since the "goals" are changing all the time, it is hard to know from the outside what those at the inside believe is the current goal.
1
@daark1799 - well, I'm curious to what the average Russian thinks are the goals of this whole mess. If it was to bolster NATO adding a huge NATO border with Finland and fill Ukraine with modern weapons and hatred for Russia, then it has succeeded beyond doubt so far.
1
@daark1799 - in other words, the goals are in your opinion that Russia want to control Ukraine like any other puppet state. Sounds pretty correct to me. Ukraine seems to have other plans though.
1
@daark1799 - yes, to some degree Japan is a puppet state of the US.
1
@daark1799 - well and Russia had to invade multiple times to get its will forced on the people in Ukraine. Next time it should try with money and culture, not weapons.
1
@daark1799 - the attacker always has the blame. Killing people is not ok. It is as easy as that. If you cannot win using money and culture, you need to improve your economy and culture until you can win. And Russia has a long way before it can win using money and culture. It should have spent more effort on that. Now it is going to be even harder than ever before.
