  2. I agree, the Ukraine war started in 2014, and the build-up for that even earlier. Its not like this was out of the blue. The fact that Sweden and Finland joined NATO with a shrug from Russia in response, indicates to me no plans of attack on NATO countries. With Finland in NATO, St. Petersburg is now on the doorstep of NATO, and would certainly be targeted if a Russia attacks NATO. If I was in Moldova however, I'd be much more worried.
