  2. Yes, but it didn't turn to Rubble did it? Ruble currency has survived and that's what is important for them. Also, they intend to link it to various commodities, not just gold. The trade in other currencies will increase over time and the volumes should then increase too. Things are changing and non of us know exactly how it will happen but it's taking trade away from the use of dollar, euro, Swiss franc, pound..etc. that were the dominate currencies.
