@zephirol4638 Sounds like things would go along the lines of "The Purge" movies! Only in the movie it is supposed to stop after a few days of carnage. In reality it wouldn't stop, as now, with the level and type of shoplifting. It's a recognition that Policing is "broken". A symptom. In the UK, we have community policing alongside the real Police force. We even have neighborhood watch areas where citizens can formally organize one. We still have all the crimes! Recently, our supermarkets have upgraded the gated entrances and exits in anticipation of what is now increased shoplifting! (Nothing like the US 🙏) It's a symptom of Societal breakdown not of Policing alone. There would also ALWAYS be far too few Police to serve a community!
