Governments need to hold certain resources and industries, such as utilities, like water, for the good of its citizens. This now sets an excellent precedence. Why? Well, the West have put many resources, of developing countries, forcibly into private, and often western companies' hands, through their corrupt IMF strategies. Almost all these developing Countries are falling further into debt, to the West, especially after the C-o-v-i-d. According to Barbados President, these organization and others are not giving these Countries time enough to pay back (they need longer) and will be looking to seize more of these Countries' assets. That's the plan. Well, developing Countries, start nationalizing your assets. Restructure debt and then throw out these companies. If its Good enough for Germans to take Russian companies. Other times the Ukrainians allow USA corps to take over the Ukrainian "treasures" and get their money back that way. The USA could tax the rich but it does not want to do that to pay debt and is instead increasing debt/deficits.
