  1. I'm of mixed heritage and notice this phenomenon. I also agree that the vast number of comments on here will be "white" feeling their "loss". It is good though that all people will notice this because there are mixed marriages on the fringes of all cultures BUT never too many as the culture halts it anyway, so don't panic.

  2. I'd also like to add... that this started with a way... to find a way to represent that people of other races exist in Society in the UK. Past programmes showed only "white" folks and there was an outcry that it didn't represent other people. I think the prevalence is just to show some inclusion within a storyline, not to dictate what Society should be. In the same way, we shall see more LGBTQ and their lives included - perhaps see it as a way to understand and get to know other people. UK still a free Country to NOT mix if you don't want, but if you do you'll people are more or less alike.

  3. Finally, this current culture war is heightening everyone's attention to all differences. I hope we survive it in the best way, especially for my sake as a mixed race child.
