  8.  @incognito1409 As I understand it, Surovikin WAS in that "overall" command position up until Kherson. Then Garismov came in and Surovikin got moved to a different position. I remember thinking it was a mistake and a political move for a General who HAD to be promoted as you call it for "military chain of command". I think now Surovikin will be BACK in that overall command position, which is where he should be. Isn't that so if he's just been given the position to REPLACE Garismov? Perhaps Dima can clarify the chain-of-command?

  11. When zooming out over the map it seems like the UA are creating a cauldron for themselves, with Russians on 3 sides. When we see Russian offensives they push outwards with defense forces to their sides and see if they can hold, then next move out and eventually they build cauldrons. UAF seems to be going in too deep. The Russian map already shows that they retreated to river boundary and is stopped. From this, and also knowing that Russians have been building up forces for weeks, and are currently regrouping, it bodes badly for UA.

  12. 12:03 Dima, I stopped listening at 12 minutes. You have a good idea. But the operation as is from the Ukraine side is over. It has been over since before the counter offensive. If I may say, you are looking at the minute tactical details and not the strategic side. May I suggest an alternative? The Ukrainians were led into this under false "story". They were lured by money, the lend-lease, training, armaments, the building of the "impenetrable" trenches and of course their hatred was fuelled with "as long as it takes". Most likely also the NATO A5 as we have seen! The West ALWAYS wanted the Crimea and then the whole of RF. Anything else in the Op was for Ukraine. First, RF foiled plans with "little green men" and took Crimea. Then RF entered (SMO, which eas desired and provoked) but Russia took a lot of land and with it the "people" very, very quickly. RF "lit up" the globe! 3rd thing that went wrong and has the highest cost! This 3rd thing has literally stopped NATO in its tracks! NATO now wants to attack Moscow (saying it's AFU gone rogue) but it's a line that should not be crossed! NATO now has no choice but to go in. That is what it will do! Depending on where the preparations are on both sides, we are looking at the slow march into WW3. Ukraine now is in a holding pattern. OK, back to your idea....

  22. He reports from what is shown in 3 maps, as you see. You can look at "Defense Politics Asia" channel, who is not European, so no bias for or against either side. He does give his opinion as he has been in the army. Or find a Ukrainian biased channel. LEAVE DIMA ALONE!

  23. You are right Dima but your reasoning is incorrect as to why RF must win! First Ukraine will not become a land grab from Poland and others in the West nor a Base for enemies. People in those regions (west UA) must decide where/which country they belong to when dust has settled (even then some years). Second, yes Ukraine lowlands in the East must be secured for RF. So long as humans cannot fly, those resident there must feel safe and secure from attack, as must RF. 1000 years is way too long for humans. We are beasts in clothing and act much worse.

SAME that is done to the peoples of the Global South countries with extreme inflation, is going to be SAME for European countries.   38. Transnistiria (sp?) is another Country AND is NOT part of NATO. This would be UA attacking another Country. Would be another War for UA. I don't think they can risk another front, UNLESS this is where NATO has already amassed troops and weapons. This was talked about last Summer, when Moldova kept saying it did not want to enter the war. Let's hope the Transnistirians have already "moved" the armaments and it will be a fools errand for the UA. Better to foil the plan ahead of time than to react to it. Should the UA follow through on this, then I fully support the RF's attack on Odessa and the taking the territory to link to Transnistiria.

  43. Ukraine's attacks can not be called an offensive or a counteroffensive. The RF had already held these areas for months! The Ukrainians attacked the flanks of the Bakhmut cauldron to RETREAT and evacuate their soldiers. They are simply holding back the closing "teeth" from enveloping them as they retreat. There will be no "greatest offensive" by the Ukrainians. Those days are gone!
