Then Winter snows came and Russian Winter Fighters, dressed all in white gear, started picking off the lines of Germans on retreat, whose equipment no longer worked on the roads and fields. Even where Germans used horses. Winters are very cold and snows are very deep. Russia is biding time and saving its Soldiers (falling back/giving way). They will take ALL the territory lost back. I also believe the current crop of western leaders no longer know what is "right or wrong" or what is acceptable because it has never cared and has "broken" all the rules of diplomacy.
