I think people are confusing BRICS currency with why gold is being promoted in the West. They are both right 👍:- The BRICS way forward is to make change at Government/Country level, just as Ben says. Gold will be part of the basket of commodities. Another reason why these countries (in the South mainly) use gold is to save reserves and at the same time avoid buying US treasuries (avoid 3rd party liability, funding the USA to attack them by paying for their military and of course the threat of sanctions/stealing/default). Not 🚫 to create direct gold backed currency! So the gold purchase in the West is not 🚫 a grift. Forget BRICS in this respect. It is the hyperinflation that people want to hedge against because of the huge debts and money printing in the West. Gold is good to save in hyper inflationary times. These are 2 different and separate situations. Blockworks, I know nothing about and so do not personally have any info on. IMO, unless you can own the whole piece of art I would avoid it!

Countries don't have 20-30 years! They're suffering now! IMO it will be more like 5. Increasing every year speeding up in the end. Like a snow ball.

@genovasei9369 You could be right! IMO though, I think the speed is determined by how quickly they can replace with an alternative system for their Countries to continue with minimum disruption. Regarding asset values and getting more $ is something they've already decided that they don't care about. After all the "assets" can be taken any time, defaulted, inflated away. It will not 🚫 be down to the USA, it will up to BRICS when the switch takes place. Every time the USA increases rates and strengthens $, it punishes every country on earth.

You're right! That's exactly how it works in the global South today; it ALWAYS trickles back to the UsA+West and there is nothing for the Countries involved. It's all a corrupt grift to keep laundering money back to the West. All they do is cheat,steal and lie ALL the time. Corruption all the way.
