I acknowledge that you're getting better, Orion, especially with understanding that your behavior as a man matters, BUT you're not there yet. You don't have to be more competent than her, and you don't look at it as giving orders. THIS viewpoint of yours will get you rejected because worrying about her competency COMPARED to yours is motivated by fear, and you will over compensate out of insecurity. The truth is that you don't have to be better than her at ANYTHING. And you don't have to give her orders. Stop worrying. Relax. All you have to do is TAKE THE LEAD and give her the freedom to follow. This means to go first. This means you plan dates, pick the place, and have a genuine interest in what she would like and be thoughtful about your choices. You don't give orders. You INVITE so that she has the option to REJECT. This means that you need to be literally ok with rejection. That is true confidence. This is the loving way to lead.
