She could be testing to see if you lose your composure somehow, making her feel unsafe, which most guys do, which makes it a legitimate test. There are tons of reasons man and its impossible to know. Whatever the reason, just keep your composure, be your usual cool self. Treat her the same as you always have when you see her. If you've already asked her out, she knows you like her. Nothing else matters. If she's interested, she'll bring it up, because a self-respecting man won't keep chasing or flirting after he has been rejected. In other words, the reason doesn't matter. All that matters is that you went for who you wanted, and now you know the outcome, so you have no regrets.

The only thing wrong is your rushing mindset. It's hard to find a good person that shares our values. So slow down, enjoy your life, and you'll meet someone as a result. Despite popular belief, money doesn't create attraction, so don't flaunt it or depend on it, because that only shows desperation, because it's approval seeking behavior.

  4. Don't take your advice from movies. They might be entertaining, but the ones writing them do not understand how attraction works. In real life, that situation in Jack Reacher would have been a display of how he deep down doesn't believe he deserves to have what he wants. So he sabotages himself with limiting beliefs that he has developed to ensure his false view on himself and on life comes true. It would be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
