@Anne Boyer Beautiful explanation. Many people are not taught this, so it really does need to be spelled out. The doctor doesn't seem to understand love, because he constantly uses superficial business analogies to explain deep personal relationships. There is no actual relation between the two. This tells me that he looks at relationships as transactional and superficial, and not loving. So you'll only get extremely superficial advice from him when it comes to relationships. Granted, he is clearly a master at running actual businesses. That logic alone doesn't directly translate to relationships though. The truth is that respect for most people is determined by a person's viewpoint of themselves. They will treat you in the way that they view or feel about themselves in that moment. Although, this only applies to people with a low level of self-control. I will say though that he has a point when it comes to a man standing up to his woman though. It's just more attractive to her when he is willing to enforce his boundaries by walking away, and not giving his time. Also, if a woman is not genuinely respectful at work, this would ba a huge red flag about how respectful she would be in her personal life. You can glean some information by looking at it from that perspective, but that really goes for both men and women.
