@jebediahrage8273 She is self-aware. She just called herself an elite. At the end of her talk, she said one of those things apply to her, but in reality, both of those things are actually linked. So they BOTH apply to her. This is why she brought up elites in the first place. She is just generally dishonest, but she was actually being honest when she called herself an elite at the end there. It shows her haughtiness also.

"When people tell you who they are, believe them the first time." That's a quote by Maya Angelou, and it can be applied here.

I've noticed that they are only allowed to tell the truth when it is too late to actually make any real differences. It's intentional. They aren't stupid. Their bosses just tell them when it is ok to share their actual point of view, and when it isn't. This explains why they did their best to make Bernie look bad during their interview with him while he was running, and then changed their viewpoint months later and now to completely agree with everything Bernie said. They were not wearing blinders. They just sold their integrity in order to keep their jobs. So they are really no different than just about every politician and practically every media outlet. They are the same. If they don't sell their integrity, then they get fired and replaced with someone that will. It's pretty much the way of the world.

True. You picked up on that. I think they admire him for having the courage to stand up for the things that they are too afraid to stand up for due to fear of the loss of their careers.

Not only that, but morale would go through the roof, which would make the workers feel good, which increases productivity, which leads to profits going way up. Sadly, most leaders don't understand this, and they often make things harder on themselves.

@ColinFox He is not advocating for the abolishing of capitalism. He is telling us that most people don't have an accurate definition of the words "left" and "right" when it comes to politics. If you like capitalism, then you are mostly "right". That is most people. There are those like Bernie and AOC who want to balance out capitalism a little by having the government deliver a helping hand in society for a few things. So because of the fact that AOC and Bernie approve of capitalism, this technically makes them more "right" leaning. Most people don't want to admit this, because it means that they have to admit their entire understanding of politics is wrong and they would have to admit that they have been believing lies for a long time. This scares people, so they make replies to avoid the truth like "this is America", like one of the comments in the thread mentioned. When people have different definitions of the same words, they tend to have unnecessary disagreements and that keeps them from realizing that they actually want the same things as each other.

@rcpmac He isn't the problem. We live in an oligarchy. The oligarchs are the problem. They want you to believe that the dude in the comment section is the problem, so you don't look at what they are actually doing. It doesn't matter what the people in office call themselves. They will all always obey their true employers. The sooner we accept that, the sooner we can find another source of hope.

Actually, if you have humility, you cannot be humiliated, because you are already humble. It's the ones who are prideful and haughty and irresponsible that get humiliated all the time. Its because of these qualities, that they will rarely admit to being humiliated, even when they obviously have been.
7
It happens a lot amongst politicians and dishonest people in general. They tend to answer a different question than they were actually asked, and then make it a long answer in hope's that the person asking the question forgets the original question or just lets it go.

@shawna1278 I believe you. In this instance though, she was a little too prideful to admit that she was wrong. When Sunny was stating the truth, she started to talk over Sunny, so that she wouldn't have to acknowledge the truth. She might not be too similar to Megan overall, but the way she handled that conversation was very similar to how Megan would have handled it. It's hard for most of us to admit we were wrong, and it's even harder to admit that we bought into lies, but if we don't humble ourselves in that way and acknowledge the truth, we can't improve and we can't learn anything.

@exiledfrommyself That is due to the bad leadership of the supervisors. The main part of union contracts is that employees have to WORK in order to keep a job. If a supervisor is so lazy or complacent or afraid that they don't want to administer discipline to people like that, then it's the supervisor that should be disciplined. A union won't be able to defend a worker that refuses to work. I understand your point though, because despite all of this, the people in charge just ignore it and pretend that it's not happening. I've learned that I cannot control others, so there is no point in worrying about it, and I just focus on bettering myself. This is part of what helps me to stay calm.

@emhu2594 Its the way people were raised. There tends to be some type of abandonment issue, or their parents didn't pay much attention to them or show them much love. So they grow up, and basically behave the way they were taught to behave by the example of people around them. It's a sad thing that happens everywhere. They are also enabled by the people around them, and are misled by their choice of association. If we don't take responsibility for ourselves, we can never be happy.

@mickygarcia4251 This will help you understand. This quote has always proved to be true; "No one will ever say or do anything to you that is not a direct reflection about how they feel about themselves in a moment". In psychology, they call it projection. We all do this. Especially if we are in a state of heightened emotion. Even if we lie or are being disingenuous. We basically accidentally leak out how he feel about ourselves in our hearts all the time. If you can keep this in mind, it'll be much easier to see through all of the deceit.

@exiledfrommyself I say they refuse, because if they really wanted to, they can learn, but choosing not to learn and using the "I don't know how to do it excuse", is basically a refusal. They get away with it, because the leaders don't understand this or just don't know how to handle it. Also, its messed up that they let the good workers go. I understand your frustration on that, and it happens so often. Its backwards and it's why many companies waste so much money.
2
Wow. You got it. So few people understand this. They are all just two sides of the same coin. This will always be their behavior, because thats who they are. The sooner we accept this, the sooner we will stop getting frustrated and can move on to find real solutions for ourselves.

Sorry to hear you went through that. I think it's awesome that you're giving your parent respect and independence though despite everything. That spare the rod scripture is actually figurative and metaphorical. It's not literal. So many people misinterpret this, and end up traumatizing and hurting their children. Sometimes, I feel like some just use their misinterpretation as an excuse to do whatever they want.

Ever watch supernanny? You come to realize that spanking isn't actually necessary and is really just a form of physical abuse.
1
You're correct. You're one of the few people that understands this. People keep looking for reasons of why this happens. It actually has nothing to do with education. It basically boils down to people looking for reasons to hate others simply because they enjoy it. Nothing more. These people grow up with families and parents that neglect them and don't know how to show love. So they grow up with trauma after trauma and they end up hating themselves, because no one showed them the love a child needs. They then project that hatred onto others as a way to cope. Its obviously a super unhealthy way to go and there are actually ways to heal from these emotional issues. The amount of families around the world that don't know how to show basic wholsome love is just growing in number.

C'mon man, be reasonable. You cannot actually believe that kid knew of this quote from history or the Hindu scripture, especially if he probably played fallout. A child literally being raised on adult video games instead of his parents had to have learned SOMETHING from the games. Obviously his parents are fully to blame, not the games, but the parents obviously did not care what he was exposed to as part of their neglect. I like games too, but it is only reasonable to acknowledge that a child can be influenced by literally anything they are associated with, ESPECIALLY if their parents are not guiding them in any way. By the way, it is the horrible lack of love, attention and guidance that this kid went through that ultimately caused this.

With all the reporting you do, and all the knowledge you take in, how are you still saying stuff like, "you have to know how to play the game?" You know that almost all of the politicians are bought and paid for. They all basically have the same bosses. So you should know by now that it's not that they are bad at the game, it's that they are doing their part. And they're doing it well if they convinced you that they just don't know how to play the game.
