@ColinFox He is not advocating for the abolishing of capitalism. He is telling us that most people don't have an accurate definition of the words "left" and "right" when it comes to politics. If you like capitalism, then you are mostly "right". That is most people. There are those like Bernie and AOC who want to balance out capitalism a little by having the government deliver a helping hand in society for a few things. So because of the fact that AOC and Bernie approve of capitalism, this technically makes them more "right" leaning. Most people don't want to admit this, because it means that they have to admit their entire understanding of politics is wrong and they would have to admit that they have been believing lies for a long time. This scares people, so they make replies to avoid the truth like "this is America", like one of the comments in the thread mentioned. When people have different definitions of the same words, they tend to have unnecessary disagreements and that keeps them from realizing that they actually want the same things as each other.
