  2. Yup. They were clearly there to guard Jihadist supporters and make sure no one said anything that might hurt their feelings. Notice all the police were facing outward watching the passers by - they were there to intimidate anyone who might answer back to the Jihadists.

  11. The police very clearly have a "never confront Muslims" policy. And are even ripping down posters of kidnapped Jews to avoid "inflaming" Muslims.

  13. Notice that the police were all facing outward from mob, scanning the surrounding commuters. They weren't there to stop the mob getting out of hand - they were there to arrest anyone who might have answered back to the mob.
