  1. This is the deeply frustrating thing with covid zealots - they talk as if the measures they advocate have no costs associated with them. We're now seeing more excess deaths in the UK now than we did during the height of the pandemic because so many long-term illnesses were neglected, and because we essentially supressed everyone's immune system for two years.

  2. Arguing "they wear masks during surgery so we should all wear masks" - makes about as much sense as "You wear a condom during sex, so we should all wear condoms all the time".
