1:15 - "Sexuality is about much more than sex" No not really. Love without sexual desire is called "friendship". Something that has been marginalized in the endless drive by certain people to "queer" our society.

Islam's propensity for violence is why it's treated with respect. Christianity's propensity for being agreeable, is why it's treated with contempt.

@shelleyphilcox4743 The degree of condemnation varies from time to time and place to place: but no society prior to five minutes ago ever deluded themselves it should be on an equal footing with heterosexuality.

@Bella-tx1rz OK, you clearly fall into the "innocent and sheltered" category I was referring to earlier. You could try reading John Keegan's "A History of Warfare" if you wish to educate yourself on this subject.

The modern world seems pretty revolting and degenerate to me.
2
@Bella-tx1rz If you're disputing that claim: my question is, what exactly are you comparing it to? Certainly not the pre-Christian world, and certainly not the secular regimes. It's very frustrating how innocent and sheltered people are about how normal war and violence are in human history. Hell - the Old testament had to have an instruction against burning children alive as sacrifices - because that was normal at the time.

@johnnicol64 Yeah we have more technology now. All that means is we have more technology, not that we're better people as so many simple-minded people tend to think. Oh and I think they have anaesthesia in the Islamic world too. . . . . . . .

It's amazing that we're at a point where you can be arrested for saying what for all of human history until five minutes ago was considered a mainstream opinion. But hey - I'm sure we're just smarter than all our ancestors put together. . . . . . . . .

@shelleyphilcox4743 Is homosexuality encouraged or discouraged in China? One of the oldest civilisations on earth, a culture that was never Abrahamic, and has been atheist for 80 years. I'll wait.
1
@shelleyphilcox4743 Well this is a convenient escape-hatch for you isn't it? Every non-western culture that doesn't fit your argument must have been "contaminated" by the west in some way you can't quite explain the mechanics of.

@Bella-tx1rz Imagine a world where you display some historical knowledge and perspective by actually answering my question.
1
@crags1crags2 It would be nice to think that's how the world worked wouldn't it? But look at how every western country treats Christians vs how they treat Muslims, and I just don't think it's a tenable position.
1
@crags1crags2 "you are living in a bubble.I see the opposite were I live" Now children - can anyone point out the irony of these two sentences being next to each other? You go ahead and stick your head in the sand if it makes you feel better.

@crags1crags2 Oh sorry, I didn't know I was speaking to a fully fledged member of the Knightly Orders, valiantly fighting off the heathen horde. I'd somehow gotten the impression I was talking to a random gobshite on the internet who thinks his immediate surroundings constitute the whole world, and is also blissfully unaware of how reality works.
