The only response the politician ever has to failure, is to double-down on the same policy. They'll sacrifice any number of us little people to spare their egos from admitting they're wrong.

@mattsmith87 Whoa - you really are naïve aren't you? If they're wasting 40 million on something as screamingly obviously frivolous as that - what else is going on that's less obvious? It speaks to a culture where there is casual attitude to money. Try and take off your ideological blinkers for a second.

@mattsmith87 If you've got 40 million a year to burn on "Diversity consultants" and "Lived Experience officers" - it's hard to claim you're desperately underfunded and understaffed.
