This has been going on for some time in America where the police were following the BLM/Antifa rioters around, completely ignoring their rampant violence, and arresting anyone who tried to defend themselves or their property. "Anacho-tyranny" is a term I've heard coined for it, and it's clearly making it's way over here.

The grooming gang revelations were a huge turning point for my view of the police - not only did they turn a blind eye all over the country for decades (and probably still are) they actively intimidated victims and whistle-blowers by threatening them with prosecution for inciting racial hatred if they talked about it.
