@SalaamVegan That's absolute rubbish. Britain made its money through industry, technological innovation, strong institutions and the protestant work ethic. If slavery made you rich - Africa would be wealthier than the rest of the world combined.

@SalaamVegan "slavery was abolished in British Guiana in 1834" That's probably why I referred to a banning of the slave trade and not of the institution itself. Maybe learn to read before telling me to care about your woke ideology?

I don't think a single day has gone by since the attack on Israel that the Guardian hasn't printed an article attacking Israel and defending Hamas. Anyone who thinks anti-Semitism is taboo on the left, doesn't know the left.
