The elephant in the room.

That would defeat the whole point - it's all just a front for illegal immigration.

@JohnButcher-vx9xf But there was a huge increase in student visas before this deal.

is anyone really naïve enough to think an expanded student visa program, won't continue to be abused on a gigantic scale for mass-immigration just as the current one is? 143,000 "students" - yeah, suuuuure.

It's all just a scam to cover illegal immigration.

@JohnButcher-vx9xf How?
1
@JohnButcher-vx9xf "brexiteers voted in the government who oversaw this" Corbyn was pro-Brexit too - so presumably everyone who voted Labour in 2019 is also pro-Brexit? As well as everyone who voted Tory? Shouldn't Brexit have been a landslide if this theory is correct?
1
@JohnButcher-vx9xf Oh and the Conservative party campaigned for "Remain" during the Brexit referendum.
1
@JohnButcher-vx9xf It is a matter of historical record that the Conservative party campaigned "Remain" in the Brexit referendum. You're entitled to your own opinion - but not your own facts.
1
@JohnButcher-vx9xf So neither party campaigned for leave in 2016, or for a second referendum in 2019: but somehow you've decided that the people who voted conservative, including former Labour voters who came to Johnson in 2019, are to "blame" for Brexit? But by the same logic were not to blame for it in 2016? Including the Labour ones? I think you're suffering from a severe case of "I would like the world to be simple so I can go on thinking about it in simple terms".
1
@JohnButcher-vx9xf "176 conservative mps voted remain , 141 for brexit in 2016 referendum" So that's actual a minority for Brexit. So the party was split, just as Labour also were . "and was voted in mainly by brexiteers" Does that include the Labour voters who switched to Johnson in 2019?

And all of them now know they can just say they're from one of those countries and they'll be waved through. It's revolting how our government are effectively encouraging this.
