  1. The "current thing" only lasts a few weeks, and they move onto the new "current thing". Just in the last few years I've watched half a dozen "current things" come and go in the establishment media.

I thought the same thing: the second those "very patriotic" Ukrainians decide they don't want millions of Africans and Arabs taking over their country - they will magically be transformed from "plucky patriots standing up for their country" to "backwards, racist fascists who need to join the modern world". I'm sick of the hypocrisy.
