It's worse than that - Britain may have ruled India: but we never sought to systematically replace them with a different ethnicity, or try to wipe out their culture, or deliberately make them poorer.

@billjack1857 That's an absolute pile of steaming shit. Name one single part of India where the population today is ethnic European? "The poorer thing is not even a question" No it isn't. India got railways, roads, telegraphs, bridges, ports, governance, laws and parliamentary democracy from Britain. Not to mention turning a hundred backward little feudal kingdoms (that were still throwing widows on bonfires and tolerating murder-cults) into a modern nation state. I'm sick of the lies and ingratitude of Indian nationalists.
