Up until 2020, I think it could still have been avoided - but the actions of the previous Tory government and the current Labour one: have more or less locked us into a doom-spiral of Balkanization and collapsing social trust. I hope we can still reverse the decline with a peaceful, political revolution: but I'm not assuming that anymore.

  10. @ Those who can't be reasoned with will obviously need an alternative approach - but don't over-estimate how many true believers there are vs how many are here because Britain is the world's free hotel.

  11. ​@ If they had any backbone, they'd have built something in their own country instead of coming to live off of us. I'm not saying it will be easy - it won't be. But the reality a lot of them came here for a lazy life: if we stop giving them a lazy life, the problem will become a lot more manageable.

  12. Indeed - people have this idea that civil wars involve armies with flags marching around and claiming territory. What's much more common is just an escalating catalogue of attacks and reprisals where people separate out into enclaves with no sense of common identify. Which of course was the liberal elites plan all along.
