  1. "Owning the right" - was a huge part of why they brought it in. And as soon as it was imposed, they were quite open about it being entirely about giving "the cons" the middle finger.

Homosexuality has essentially become the official religion of the west at this point - they are now effectively launching Jihads to forcefully convert "infidels" to the one true faith of gayness. We are living in a very weird period of human history: but the inherent sterility of this ideology suggests it's likely to be a brief period too.
