Losing by being nice - has been a problem for the right for decades. "We" treat the other side as respected opponents in a debating society, while they treat us as mortal enemies to be obliterated by any means necessary.

@chopshec83 Agreed - "compromise" just means, "We give them half of what they want now, and the other half in two years". The only area where the right has managed to hold the line is gun rights - and it was precisely because they was NO compromise.

@shahidabdoullakhanzorovr1564 That's true enough of the politicians - but I'm thinking of even the cultural commentators. They'll attack each other for being "too mean" to the other side. Something you will never see anyone on the left attacking another leftist for.
