I'll never stop laughing at Boomer feminists who are experiencing the consequences of the triumph of their own ideology.
2
Sorry Julie - but you really only have yourself and your fellow feminists to blame. You spent the last 60 years pushing "gender is a social construct" and all the other ideologies that have found their "logical" conclusion in this current weirdness.
2
@spurge83 Well said - it amazes me the lack of self-awareness from boomer feminists about this.
2
@helenablavatsky9136 She was very clearly arguing that all heterosexuality was inherently coercive and abusive: it's extremely disingenuous to try to claim she was saying anything else.
2
If she wishes to start a company that excludes men - then she must concede the right of men to start companies that exclude women.
2
@JayJamsSpams What's your definition then? Black square in the twitter profile in 2020? Ukraine flag in the bio in 2021? Trans flag in the bio in 2022? Palestine flag in the bio in 2023?
1
@DJWESG1 In this case the "other reason" is that most people are cattle who repeat whatever the media tell them to.
1
I would dispute "intellectual" - he's slimy and weaselly like all playground bullies, but clearly no kind of thinker.
1
Calling the natural desire of boys for agency, aspiration and fulfilment - "entitlement": is just one of the reasons I despise feminism.
1
He's like so many liberals - an overgrown child who lives in a fairyland.
1
There's nothing wrong with older people wanting to feel young again for a bit - but it's a problem when they start basing their political judgements around the same kind of youthful naiveite.
1
You mean he makes arguments you can't refute? And that annoys you?
1
Ironic isn't it? Two feminists complaining about the consequences of their own ideological demands.
1
How come a "conservative" magazine is giving a regular platform to an angry old boomer far-leftists who hate everything conservatism stands for? People like Bindel and Jensen destroyed western civilisation. They destroyed the nuclear family, they destroyed both men's and women's happiness, they destroyed community, they destroyed gender roles, they debased and destroyed education, culture and art: and worst of all they destroyed countless millions of babies and with them the possibility of our civilisation having a future.
1
This is something about Islam that Israel understands, and the west is wilfully blind to - Muslims have no concept of treating others as equals.
1
@johnadam2885 "The Muslims have more fighting spirit than the Christians" Well - Muslims certainly love war in a way Christians don't. That's why Islam is synonymous with violence and intolerance all over the world.
1
Exactly. Feminism is a part of a suicidal impulse that has taken over western civilisation.
1
The left don't believe in good and evil - they believe only in power.
1
Trump has been proved right about almost everything, which is probably why the current regime in Washington is so desperate to lock him up.
1
"I find it difficult to comprehend current trans ideology" Well - ask Bindel, it was people like her who pushed the "gender is a social construct" nonsense. The trans thing is just a logical extension of that, and I think it's hilarious that Bindel is getting hoist by her own ideology.
1
@avii.8075 "they just separated the brain from the rest of the body" Which is pure nonsense since both are inextricably linked and each affects the other. "So women, as human females, is not a social construct. Women behaving and living a certain way largely is." Also nonsense. Woman and men have distinct gender roles in every human society. And those roles always broadly correspond with gender stereotypes. If this were socially determined it would vary hugely across time and space - but it doesn't.
1
@avii.8075 "It does vary hugely across cultures and times" No it doesn't. There is no culture in all of history that sent the women out to hunt and fight, while the men provided childcare and tended the hearth. And when you think about it, any culture that tried that wouldn't have lasted long. The problem with this issue since the 1960s is that people confused what they wanted the past to have been like, with what it actually was.
1
@avii.8075 No, there aren't. Feminist "academics" (propagandists) have been relentlessly torturing the evidence to manufacture support for their ideology for a century now, (starting with Margaret Mead) - and it all falls apart under even the slightest scrutiny. Like all Marxist-derived ideologies, it fails the "does it work in the real-world" test.
1
@avii.8075 No - there aren't. This is propaganda put out by feminist academics who have been deliberately "massaging" scant evidence for a 100 years to try to make reality conform to their ideology.
1
@avii.8075 That is plainly and simply not true. Activist "academics" have been pushing outright false or dishonestly represented information for decades to try to make history fit their agenda.
1
Like pubic crabs?
1
@nathangamble125 No one's buying the propaganda anymore kid - not when they can see the doleful effects right in front of their own eyes.
1
@nooshoff I don't think" it - I *remember when it was far more homogenous than it is now: and just about everything was better.
1
It was feminists like Bindel who spent their whole lives pushing the "gender is a social construct" nonsense - which led directly to all this insanity. Now they're whining that the same tactics and ideology is being used against them: and I have zero sympathy.
1
Why is the Spectator promoting a pair of radical woke leftist activists? Don't such people get enough airtime in the rest of the media?
1
Nothing says "edgy, dissident counter-culture" quite like censoring anyone who won't repeat the ideology pushed by every government-body and large corporation in the western world.
1
It's a bit awkward for western wokies to admit they're shilling for a bunch of religious extremists - so they just fudge the issue.
1
Why? She's a radical feminist - she created and imposed the woke ideology that she's now complaining about.
1
Yes it's so amazing to get profound insights like - "Hollywood is not real life". I don't know where we'd be without such a titan-intellect.
1
Feminism's core message is - "I want the power of a man, the privilege of a woman, and the accountability of a toddler"
1
@boing615 A "coup" where no one brought a single weapon and the police led people inside.
1
@msimons7440 The basis of feminism is Marxism - go look it up.
1
@kevoreilly6557 And feminism started in the 18th century. Anything else?
1
Or what the global elites were doing on Epstein island for decades (while the media and law enforcement turned a blind eye).
1
@MultiLlewis "why are you not standing alongside her" Because feminists like these two created the entire woke culture that they are now complaining about. They forced it on the rest of society and did vast, probably irreparable damage to our civilisation - and are now complaining about being savaged by the monster THEY created, nurtured, and loosed on the world. Why should I stand with people who utterly despise me and everything I believe in?
1
I always shake my head when old boomer feminists complain about the entirely predictable and inevitable consequences of the ideology they spent their whole live pushing for. You wanted to get rid of the old morality - and you succeeded. Enjoy the results.
1
Europe is still dealing with the consequences of Merkel's insane policy of throwing open the immigration door to the south. It's pathetic how they won't admit Trump was right about more or less everything. Open borders, energy, Russia, foreign war, re-shoring industry, wokeness, censorship, NATO, China, etc etc.
1
"porn is increasingly gay and Trans" And as Project Veritas just proved, the world's most famous pron site is aggressively pushing gay and trans themes onto people they know are underage.
1
Thing is feminists want men who will be simpering and submissive and never stand up for themselves. And so they put up with men who are obviously a bit creepy as long as they bow and scrape.
1
Do something about immigration, wokeness and cultural decline - or stop calling yourselves conservatives.
1
Exactly as feminists like Bindel wanted and spent their entire lives campaigning for.
1
The elites want Europe to be less white. They're not stopping this because they don't want to stop it. I can see no other plausible explanation at this point.
1
indeed - a lot of people seem to have forgotten that these are the same boomer feminists who imposed woke ideology on us in the first place. Now they're complaining that it's gone 1% further than they're comfortable with after treating the rest of us abominably for decades.
1
@NoRockinMansLand Thanks for admitting you can't address any of the point put to you.
1
There's an amazing article from way back called - "Feminists don’t challenge radical Islam because real misogynists are terrifying" which makes exactly this point. It's a lot easier and safer and more comfortable to endlessly bully tame, passive, meek western men.
