  30. True - but US military experience consists of running around fighting small groups of insurgents in hot countries, and attending DIE seminars. Neither of which would be that relevant with a full-on state vs state conflict. US navy personnel (for example) have no more experience fighting a real naval war than China has.

Of course there are also large numbers of Russian speakers in those regions who want to be part of Russia. And the west engineered a coup to remove a pro-Russian leader in a country on Russia's doorstep - something any major power would be alarmed by. And Nato have broken assurances given at the end of the cold war that they would not expand eastwards. There's always two sides to a story.
