  4.  @tomorrowneverdies567  I'm not an expert on Sweden, but I do know that in this country - immigration is making the native birth-rate much worse by driving down wages and driving up housing costs. It's expensive to have a family now.

  5.  @tomorrowneverdies567  Nominal wages have increased because of the fall in the value of sterling, but real purchasing power of wages has declined very severely. In the 80s my lower middle-class father could keep pay a mortgage and keep a stay-at-home wife and three kids on one salary. That's out of reach of the middle-class now. "how it was the immigrants who caused the fertility rate to decrease." I didn't say they were THE reason did I? I said that mass-immigration contributes to the problem by making settling down and having a family more expensive.

No they haven't - I'm not really interested in debating this with someone who either doesn't know any economic history, or doesn't understand the difference between real and nominal wages.
