  1.  @jalalabdullah5043  It was clean. People trusted each other. Crime was low. We weren't ashamed of our culture. There was optimism. People weren't beaten down and depressed. The NHS and other services were staffed by British people who you could actually talk to. Housing was affordable. No one worried about bring imprisoned or beaten up for offending Islam. Entertainment was fun and not preachy. Wokeness was unknown. You didn't have to pay lip service to the blessed alphabet lobby with every breath. We had a distinct national identity that we weren't ashamed of: etc etc. It was beautiful. It was good. And it has all been deliberately destroyed.

  2. "Rubbing our noses" in it - is exactly the purpose. It is pure triumphalism over the conquered natives.

  3.  @gillps5130  I said crime was low, not non-existent. It really frustrates me how many people deliberately conflate those two things so as to have something to say.
