"They aren't going to go away with our mockery" I've tried to make this point so many times - that sneering and laughing at the loneliness and misery of people who are starved of affection: is going to make them more, not less prone to violence. No one ever listens. And honestly I think the people who control the culture want more violence so they can use it as an excuse to push their agenda.
