  1. When you strip away everything that is unique and cultural about a setting and adapt it for "modern audiences" - it loses it's soul. Everything looks the same now. There's nothing that tells a story from a distinct time and place anymore - it's all the same bland, grey "diverse" globalist mush that has no roots in anything.
