@rodrigojimenez2535 Perhaps you really are perfect in every way - but the rest of us suffer from flaws that we must struggle against to try to be better people. Religion is one of the ways people conceptualize that struggle which is at the core of the human condition, between our base and ignoble motives and our higher ideals and aspirations. I guess you could say the self-help movement is another way - but however you look at it - no one who has ever done anything worthwhile has not had to make that hard choice every day between the easy but corrupting road, and the hard but uplifting one. That's what being saved means, in a religious or a secular context. Doing what's right even when it's hard.
